How to remove date from photos

I have a Kodak Easy Share LS443. We chose to show the date on the photos for reference. I now see that was the wrong choice. How do I remove that ugly yellow date with the Kodak Program, or the HP Photo Imaging Program?

I don't know about the HP photo software, but in Photoshop you can use the "cloning tool" and select an area proximate to the date, then "clone out" the date. The patterns match, because the cloning tool selects all attributes of the selected area (color, shading, patterns, etc.)

Photoshop Elements 2.0 is widely available most everywhere....including Costco. Elements might be easier for you to learn, and it is under $100.00. Photoshop 7 is available at Computer stores mostly, and is very expensive ($600+).
