A little Advice... Hello, I am as all are when first introduced to this fasinating world of photography. I am generally interested in any type of subjects like street, landscape, people, portraits, and anything that peaks my interest. I, of course, am researching the best camera to purchase. I would like and apreciate some advice and pointers on choosing a camera. I want a digital camera so that I can edit images in photoshop, a camera that has an timer for self images, I don't mind about bulk if I get quality. I'd also want to know about the flash and it's importance (I'm relitively clueless 0_o). If you know any other sites which cover all the basics please help a lonely novice share captured beauty which has been stowed within.

There are many cameras that will do what you're asking, probably too many, so things to consider are budget and type of photography you ultimately settle on. dpreview.com is a good resource for camera information. hth
