enalrgments - better in mate or shiny?


if I want to make an enlargment of my photos, then is better to make them without shine, in mate, or not?!

  Glossy has long been a favourite of professionals, but things are changing. I personally prefer matte because I find the gloss distracting and sometimes hard to see, depending on the lighting.
Being a modernist, matte to me is more professional. Cheaper film labs tend to only print glossy, interesting. I think of it in regards to framing. The non reflective glass is more expensive and desirable than regular glass because of the glare.
Take a look at some 4x6's, see if you prefer the look of gloss or matte. The good thing is that matte isn't truly a flat matte so it still has a bit of sheen to it.
It's totally personal, so give it some consideration and be confident in your decision.

Labs do mostly glossy simply as a supply/demand thing.
