Have any of you tried the Kodak 400 Portra UC? I have used it and want to brag about the fine grain ,resolution and extrmely accurate colors, including skin tone. Works well with flash, macro ,telephoto and normal lenses in all lighting conditions with varied subjects. I even use it in my $29.00 plastic point & shoot camera. Unbelievable photos! Try it! Bill

Yes, I have used Kodak 400 Portra UC for six months now. I even used it on a sailing trip in the Bahamas. It's great!

I used Kodak 400 NC for wedding snapshots, matte finish, the colors and skin tones
seemed perfect to this (serious) amateur!

I will have to compare 400 Portra UC verses Fuji Reala. I understand this is the best 400 film around. I've tested Portra 160VC and the following results are, compared to Reala, not as sharp, colors not accurate and as rich, grainy.

I have tried Agfa Utra 100 a few times.
This stuff is just too outrages. Candy like unacurate colors and extremely high contrast, detail really burns out in sunny situations. In overcast situations it calms down. No good in artificial lighting. And it is very grainy. It consumes a lot of time and lots of 4x6 prints making color corrections at any photo processor. I've shot slide film with it just to show the processor the correct colors and exposure. Artisticaly, you can be very creative, but to shoot architectural or interior work, no,
no good. My opinion.
Even Velvia 100 will not print as sharp as Reala. But I use it for shooting flowers.

Ken
