To Wait For Digital Camera Or Not To Wait... I am interested in purchasing a new digital camera. I am looking at the Canon S20 but have seen the new EOS D30 SLR digital body. Since I have invested in 24-80 and 75-300 IS Zoom lenses for my Elan II, I am considering waiting for the D30 to come out in the fall. Obviously there is a difference in price but I hate to retire my film camera and would like the option of the interchangeable lenses on a digital. I do sports and landscape photos and am constantly paying for scanning. Any suggestions?

I am interested in the Canon EOS D30, too, and I think we do not have to wait much longer. The reviews of it seem positive. Most people tout it as a great camera for photojournalists but it looks like it would be great for any Canon EOS user. Perhaps they focus on photojournalists because they are the most likely ones to have the budget to justify such an expense.
