Wondering about my new camera

Hi- I am searching for some reassurance because nobody has been able to tell me straight out. I researched all kinds of Canons and Nikons within my pricerange before buying, because I am just starting out. I ended up purchasing the N60 (loved the N2020 as well) but now I am hearing negative feedback about the older AFs. I know it is better than what I had, but I haven't used it yet. Was this a mistake for my art-student lifestyle? Any advice?

Sad but true, Joan, but the Nikon N60 was axed by Nikon but they made the entry-level N65 ( totally featured in Popular Photography back in April 2001 ). And later they had made the N75 which was reviewed in Photographic magazine as of June 2003 ( the newsstand may still have this issue so grab one while you can! )The Nikon N70 suffered the same fate of the N60 ---they were phased out, so to speak. So there's PLENTY to the art dude NIKON N75,N65 or even N80! Canon has quality entry-level cams Rebel GII, Rebel Ti and more EOS! Art students will find them all fun to handle!
