Radio Remotes for Nikon N75 and White Lightning

I just bought two used 1600 Ultra White Lightning studio lights and I have a Nikon N75 and a Pentax K1000 (use the Nikon more). I was told to get a radio remote for the studio lights so I don't blow out my camera but, I can't afford a brand new one. What should/could I get and where?? Mainly concerned with the what to get....is there a certain brand and type?? Need advice here.

pocket wizards are good. You'll have to get a cord that correctly fits your lights. You can get a receiver and transmitter for I think $400.
I haven't heard of lights blowing out a camera. So I woudn't see why you couldn't use a sync cord. You can get a 15ft extension sync cord from paramount to give you extra length.
If connecting your camera to lights via sync would blow out your camera, seems like it would blow out a remote because you're still going to have to connect the remote to the lights.
