How to take pictures of objects in dark situations
I have an HP Photosmart 850 digital camera, and I live on the Florida Space Coast. From time to time, when a rocket launches, or when there is a lightning storm, I like to take pictures of these objects. But, every time I try, at night or in dark conditions, the picture turns out blurry, and there almost no detail. Can you tell me what I can do to increase the detail or effectiveness of taking pictures in the dark, and capturing the stars, lightning and rockets, or what camera would be optimal for these kinds of pictures? Thank you very much!

You need to use a tripod, use a VERY slow speed and the smallest F stop that you can.
