Photography Question

Lisa N. Hermes

Can flash be bounced off reflector outdoors?

I have always used reflectors in my outdoor portraits. They really help create a nice fill light, however, it is sometimes difficult to be in the right place at the right time to have sun positioned behind subject to reflect back at them. Does anyone know if the same affect can be acheived by bouncing a flas, or lights off the reflectors outdoors? If so, what type of lighting would work best with natural lighting? I have only worked outdoors using available light, thus my knowledge of lighting techniques is very limited. It would make it so much easier if I could control where my light is coming from. Thanks for any advice.

Wasn't this question up here before with a b&w picture of a little girl?
