Using multiple filters I'm using a sony mini DV camcorder and I want to soften the harsh video look. The problem is that the thread size is only 30mm and there are very few filters that will fit. My question is this: How many filters/step rings can I piggy-back? I have a 37mm circular polarizer, so there's one step ring and one filter. I would like to add a Tiffen low-contrast filter, but the smallest I can get is 49mm. So can I use a 30-37mm step, then a polarizer, then a 37-49mm step, then a low-contrast?
