shooting concerts


What is the best setting to shoot in at an indoor concert? I have a Nikon Cool Pix 5400 Digital witn no extra zoom or external flash.
From 50 to 70 ft away.

  depends on how bright the lights are. If you can set film speed to 800 and if your biggest aperature is close to 2.8, guess by the times I've shot plays and somebody singing your shutter speed might be around 125.
But you can't say what a setting should be in the present when you don't know what kind of light you'll get in the future.
Since it's a digital camera can't you take a shot and see if it looks right?
