Pictures from Iraq

A friend of mine wanted to share photos she received from her son. The pictures were developed in Baghdad. Did the extreme heat cause the bad photos or was it the development process they used? I'm sure the chemicals were very old! The photos are located here:

couple that I saw were exposed to light leaks, either from camera or processing, or even from loading. That's what those orange streaks were. Or it could have even been from x-ray since they came from over there. I didn't look at all the pictures. But the color did have that faded look from either heat damaged film, or just from being old film. But I wouldn't expect bahgdad to have very good processing anyway.
And if the film was bought in bahgdad, who knows how long it was kept on a loading dock in the heat somewhere when it was shipped from the manufacturer.
