Taking still photos for television

Hi,
Do you have any tips, suggestions or guidelines on how to take still photos for television? This would be product shots for the most part (CD's Videos, Books, T-shirts, etc..) Lighting, backdrop and composition would be the main topics that I'd be interested to learn about.

Thanks,
Paula

Paula, it will be difficult, if not impossible, to address hugh topics such as lighting, backdrops, and composition in an email. It may be in your best interest to take Vik's Orienstein's class for lighting and one of several others for beginning composition. Also, you can also learn the use of artificial and natural backdrops from either of these class alternatives.

If lighting, backdrops, and composition could be learned in a few sentences, everyone on the planet would be excellent photographers!!

Good luck!
