How To Shoot Snow


I like B&W but really have a problem with tones and reflections on Minolta 35MM even with gray card. Any sugesstions? Thanks.Lisa

  Lisa:

Make sure that your gray card is in the SAME light as your subject. That could account for your exposure issues. I don't shoot print film and haven't for many years, but I BELIEVE for snow, overexpose 1-2 stops, like transparencies. But, I could be wrong here and I'm sure that someone will correct me.

  Thanks Tony. I'll try it. I live in mtns and sometimes like to try wide expanses of snow after first snowfall.
