Photography Question

Michiko

best way to create quality slides of your work

I am an fine art photographer. All my prints are CPrints using B/W negatives. Since the tonal differences between hight light and shadow area in my works are more than 4 stops, slides always come out either good high light details with no details on shadow area or other way. I drum scanned my work to create slides and the quality is very good . But It cost too much. Do you have any suggestions?

Unfortunately, Michiko. There are no short cuts to quality. If you want the "real work," it'll cost you. But, you could invest in a top quality desk top scanner like the Nikon SuperCoolscan 4000, which would probably serve you well. It's a one time investment, then your top quality scans are cost free!

Good luck!
