How to pan with S230
HI, I just bought canon S230 and wondering if anybody has ever done panning with this camera before, If so, could you please shed some lights here? This camera doesn't allow you to choose specific shutter speed.

you need a somewhat slower shutter speed in order to pan a subject. One way to let the camera do it would be to use slower film, like ISO50. At f/22, that would slow your exposure down enough to allow you to pan. Tony Sweet

The S230 digital camera does not have shutter speed/aperture priority, but it has a manual exposure setting. One way you can do is to set the sensitivity to ISO 50. Then use the auto/program mode to take the exposure reading (say it shows f5.6 at 1/125). Then switch to manual mode and put in the exposure value (f8 at 1/60, f11 at 1/30, f16 at 1/15 or f22 at 1/8). Hope this helps.
