Choosing a digital camera I interested in purchasing my 1st digital camera and from the research I've done, the two cameras that interest me are: 1) Canon A70 or 2) Olympus C720. The Canon seems to offer many nice features (includng sound clip to picture besides movies w/sound) however the Olympus with Optical 8x seems to give a crisper picture (especially the ones on this web site - pictures taken by people as opposed from the Company). What would you sugguest ? Thanks in advance !

I received an email from New York Institute of Photography addressed to all their graudates saying that if at all possible hold off until after October to buy a digital camera. They said there is a true price war breaking out with the entry of the computer manufacturers into the digital camera business. These folks don't have a base of film cameras to protect and can really provide price/performance that will cause camera manufacturers to react.
