hi mike i dont know what type fo photo shoot you are trying to do, but if you are doing a portrait shoot,reflection makes a big difference. if you only have one light, a piece of white cardboard on the opposite of the face will make a huge difference. if you are using two or more lights, pay attention to the darker or the less flattering part of the face and adjust the piece of cardboard filler until the light is up to your standards.you can just buy a piece of poster board and find a way of holding it up for accuracy.
