help, I have a scratched lens Hi, I'm writing because my camera lens got a scratch that is bad enough that it shows up on my photos. Anyway, I was woundering if there's anyway I could get the scratch out my self or if I'd be better off to find a profesional to take care of it? Thanks, Jenna

Dear Jenna: I'm an optimist. When you say you scratched your lens, is it possible you mean that you scratched the UV or Skylight filter you attached to the front of your lens to protect it from this kind of catastrophe? If so, unscrew the filter and replace it. If the worst has happened, and you really do have a scratch on the front or rear lens element, let your fingers do the walking through the yellow pages, because it's time to find a repair facility. Keeping a lens shade on the front of the lens is another way to help protect the front element from sharp pointy things that eat glass.
