Diffusers Hello Everyone I have seen photographs which mention that they have been taken using diffused light. So are diffusers just like other filters or is it some setting do be done in flash which allows you to diffuse the light?

Diffused light comes from a larger source and is less direct. You get it by bouncing flash into an umbrella, off ceiling or wall, or with a diffusing attachment to the flash such as those made by Sto-Fen or LumiQuest.

So when some flash units say they have built in diffuser it means they come with some accessory which makes the light bounce?
