Buying Lenses

I notice that some camera stores list 2 prices for a given lense, one Gray, one USA. What does this mean, and what are the advantages or disadvantages of each category?

Gray means it comes from overseas and does not come with a factory warranty. USA means it comes from the US with a factory warranty. Gray is cheaper and you can sometimes get a warranty from the place you bought it. USA is more expensive and you get the factory warranty.
