Circular Polarizor Filters Any info how good the "MOOSE " Circular Polarizer Filter is? I know hoya makes it with collaberation Moose Peterson a weel known nature photographer. He needed a circular polarizer without using a 81a warming filter stacked with it. I figured it good quality because of hoya's reputation and Moose Peterson's . He wouldn't put his name on any merchandise unless it is good. I like the idea of it tending to be less blue in color saturation . Has anyone used it and their opinion . I'm planning to use it on a Sigma EX 24-70mm F2.8 lense & the price is resonable for that size lense ( B&H $109.00) , maybe purchased 2 more for a72mm Sigma28-105mm,& Nikon 52mm 50mm AF 1.4. I use Nikon N80,8008,N2020 with these lenses. Also has anyone used a polarizer with black & white film ,if so what results as oppose to Red 25a & yellow k2 ? elaine625@attbi.com 04/26/03

A polarizer works with b&w film and the effect is different than using Red or Yellow filters. Red and Yellow filters do not remove glare/reflections the way a polarizer does. In b&w the polarizer will darken skies without lightening red objects as a red filter would. But if your scene has red, green, and blue objects of similar tone in it, the polarizer will not separate them into different tones the way a red, green, or yellow filters will.
