35mm SLR I am an amatuer. I would like to advance in my skills. I travel to exotic places. I will be going to the Himalayas soon and want to buy my first real camera before I go. I will be taking pictures of the landscape as well as local villagers. I want a camera that is good to start out with but that I can advance with in the future. I have been told of the Canon eos elan II(e), Pentax zx 7 and others. I have also been told to get a tamron 28-200 lens. HELP. What do you think is right for me, too much, or not enough.
