Photography Question

Dance Recital Pictures

I am a sports photographer and already have packages with prices and have been established in team and individual sports for 5 years. I have recently been asked to take pictures of two sisters in their dance recital costumes. The sisters are about 10yrs apart in age difference I think 13 and 3. I am having trouble thinking about how I will pose them individually and together. Since they won't have a ball or a bat I am lost!! Any ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have recently been thrown into the world of dance photography so I'm no expert by any means but here's a few ideas to play with.
The 13 year old will know a range of dance postures, maybe even some acrobatic ones so she can strike dance poses for you. If the costume she wears lends itself to flowing movement you can try and capture the movement of the costume as she turns. The younger one just dancing alone or with her older sister will make for some great candid shots. Good luck.
