how to shoot a Polo match


I am preparing yo shoot a polo match,Shoud I use a lens longer than 2-300mm, and what is the best position considering the lenght of the field

  Any sport I photograph, I try to position myself toward the end of the field... slightly diagonal.(to the corner). It is easier to stop action from this position. If you have the opportunity... move around a bit during the match. That may be the best way to "see" where your best photos are. Mix it up a little. Are you shooting from the stands or the sidelines? You should be fine with that lense.
