Best prof. quality paper for epson 1280

After reading the answer from Judith C. regarding D1 and Epson 1280, wondered if she would recommend the best quality matte paper, I've tried a lot of them, mostly epson paper and have yet to find a decent professional quality suitable for resale to a client.
Also, have you discovered any settings that produce the best results. I have a D1x, Epson 1280 and use Photoshop. I now send almost everything to my lab to be printed.
Thank you in advance for your help!

I print Epson Matte Heavyweight at 720 dpi, with 300 ppi going into the printer. Turn the high speed off and go for high quality instead. If you sharpen correctly in Photoshop, using Unsharp Mask, you shouldn't need to sharpen it in the printer. On the right side of the Advanced screen, ICM works fine. A recent writer in Shutterbug claims he gets best results with Epson's regular photo inkjet paper. Epson claims impressive longevity with their newer papers. I've given customers a CD with the image to reprint in case their print fades. But then, film photogs don't give away their negatives.

I print everything in custom photo glossy paper 1440dpi highspeed off. I use Ilford Galerie smooth pearl paper. I have not found a matte paper I'm happy with. The smooth pearl has very little gloss, its instant dry, and water risistant. I then spray my photos with Gepe inkjet fix spray. This is not recommended by epson, but I have had no fading problems and with two coats they are completly water proof. I have run them under the faucett and dried them with a towel to prove my claims. I hope this helps. Save everything you sell to disk and guarentee your prints.

More info on printer settings go to custom then advanced. Set paper for premium photo glossy, set dpi at photo 1440, turn off high speed, click on photo enhance 4, tone normal, and I pefer soft focus under effect (thats just me, I set it about the middle). I have never had a bad print at these settings.
