what speed of black and white film to use?

i'm a photo student and plan to pursue
pohotography as my next career after I retire. i'm interested in portraits, wedding photgraphy. i'm already doing flower photgraphy and creating my own notecards. my question is, I would like to be able to do portraits and weddings with existing lights and use black and white film. what kind of film should I use to shoot in existing lights and have good results?

It depends on a lot of things. What format are you shooting? What kind of existing light? Existing light is a broad description. It could be candle light or direct sunlight. Are you thinking traditional b&w or C41? What do you want the images to look like? Each b&w film has it's own look. Are you shooting handheld or with a tripod? I'm sure there are more considerations but you get the idea.

  Ilford Delta 400 Pro.
It's an original B&W film!...Developing is more expensive than regular color film!...The tonal different tonal ranges on greys and blacks work incredible for Me!...Try it!...
