Beseler 23C enlarger -- please help!

A few years ago I sent up a darkroom in my basement using an old, beseler 23C enlarger (b&w). A few days ago, I went to use it and it didn't work. I could switch the enlarger on to focus the print, but when it came time to actually print, or allow for the paper to be exposed to light, nothing happened, the light wouldn't turn on. If anyone has any ideas as to why this is happening or more importantly, what I can do about this problem I would much appreciate it. Thanks.

Since you have the light to focus the image, the bulb is OK. Timers can be tricky; be sure it's connected right and that you have it set right. Find your timer's instructions if you're rusty. The timer could be malfunctioning.
