I am using a Ricoh XR10 with 50mm lens. Some prints have now developed a flare in one particular area. What is odd is that not all the prints display this problem, Any suggestions ? (please see photo}
Thank you so much
John

  Hi, John. "Flares" like this could be caused by a couple things. Number one is a light leak. In this location is kind of unusual, could be a leak in the shutter curtain. I think this camera has vertical running matel shutters, could be one of the shutters is bent allowing light to leak in. Check the shutters before you wind the film and after. If you have cloth shutters there could be a pin hole allowing light to leak in.
The other cause is the light seals. Could be the seals along the top or bottom rails is worn or missing or the film door may be slightly bent and not seating properly allowing light in. Let me know if this helps.

Steve
