Image gets cut off during printing
I am using a digital Nikon Coolpix 4500 camera.I like to print my better images out using the Kodak picure maker machine that they have in the stores as it is much more cost effective for me.I am having a problem getting all that I see on my floppy to print out..it cuts off part of my image and when I try to using the crop tool this doesnt always work.My camera has manual control. Is there a specail way I should be shooting my images in order to get the whole picture to print out?Thank you for any and all help!

Well, for starters, you could try not cropping so tightly when you take the shot. IOW leave a little room around your subject to allow for this natural cropping off by the machine. Or you could run your images through and editing program and put a border around them so any cropping that occurs will just crop the border.

Thanks for the quick reply Jeff!I took your of your advice about not cropping so tightly and left a little room around my subject..I tried it with an image of my cat today..I cropped it on the Kodak picture maker. It worked! Thanks again!

No problem. The same thing happens to film shooters. Most machines can't print full frame so if you get something too close to the edge of the frame it's likely to get chopped off.
