How to avoid photos from being copied from website How do I block one from copying a photo (through right click) from my website? I'm trying to apply a disclaimer such as yours stating "...materials at BetterPhoto are protected by copyright law. ..." to my images but don't know how it's done. Much appreciated! Thanks, Bev

Jim does his by javascript. However, this is not fool proof. You're better off watermarking your photos so that a faint image or name is always visible on the photo. Kinda makes it harder for people to just post it and not give credit to you.

This is something Ive been wanting to know as well. How do you go about "watermarking" a photo? Can this be done in photoshop? Or is this something the lab would do for an extra charge? Also, When presenting my proofs to the customer, I would like to have a imprint of my name in the corner like Olan Mills. Anyone know how to go about this? What I mean is, Are there stamps you can special order to do it yourself? Thanks!

Jim uses this code. It appears to me freeware, from the header, but my apologies to Jim if he didn't want to show it: Water marking: I thought you could do it in Photoshop, but I've only got Photoshop LE - it only lets you read watermarks, not write them. I suspect what you could do is get an image of your logo/name and create a second layer. Make the opacity something like 25% and layer it on top of your photo to be protected. Adjust the opacity so that your mark is obvious without taking too much away from your photo.
