How to shoot holiday lights inside? Can anyone give me their thoughts on the best way to shoot a portrait against a black bachround with small red x-mas lights? the subject will be in white. I will be doing it in my living room. I have low corner windows facing north and west on the west side of my house. I have a Canon EOS 3 with two fast lenses, a 550EX flash, reflectors, a tripod and the passion with limited indoor shooting experience. I've been operating mostly in "prayer" mode and would like to get out of the box. Before I waste a bunch of film, I am coming to all of you for advice. What type of film and speed? What type of lighting? I do understand spot metering, 18% grey and over/ under exposuring. Thanks for everyone's time in reading this. DC
