Photography Question

Uploaded Photos - need back

Due to unforeseen circumstances - I lost certain jpg(s) which I had already uploaded to my Pro Website.
I have asked BetterPhoto to send me back the original jpg (there are only 3) but was told they don't have the resources to do that.

They did offer some suggestions within the manage/edit under My photos to basically try and go to the URL..... did not work.

Has anyone ever been successful about getting your original submitted jpg back?

Thanks!!

I don't think there's any way of doing what you're seeking, short of I.T. staff digging deep in BP's servers. (And even then, I'd be a little skeptical.) It isn't in BP's best interest to keep massive / high-resolution files on their servers, when they only display an 800-pixel max (or now, up to 1024-pixel max). So if you'd uploaded a 5,000 pixel file in the past (or whatever your camera-file regular resolution is) BP has to create a scaled down version of that -- and has no need to keep the larger original file taking up space on their servers... I could be wrong, but that would force them to maintain massive amounts of extra storage space, to hold "full-size" files they have never, ever displayed or used on the site...

Sorry to say you may be out of luck! I have several very old BP uploads I love, from back in the 720-pixel max days -- and I didn't keep a high-res copy of them back then ;(

Thanks for the response. BP said that too, but recommended t h a t I could ask..... last ditch effort. Certainly a learning experience. :)
