Adding Photos to Discussion page Feeling super embarrassed that my activity has been so low that it's been a long, long time since I uploaded a photo to the discussion thread--so long that I don't know how to do it with this new format! Can anyone tell me how to upload a photo in the discussion thread? When I went into my a photo I had just uploaded, all I saw was a place to comment. Thanks! Susan

Maybe Ken Smith or someone else who used this feature a lot will answer. I think that option went bye-bye when the new and improved BP was rolled out, Susan. I haven't been able to find it, either.

When you get to the "reply" window (where you type your message in a thread) --scroll down, and you'll see the old drop-down "Select" field, for how many images you want to attach. Write your entire message, then select the # of images you plan to attach, before hitting "Submit". The next screen will give you the "upload" fields, to upload images from your hard drive to BP, title them, caption them, etc. Also note -- if you wanted to attach *existing* images (already loaded in your Member Center) to a thread, you need to get the PhotoID of those images first, then come to the thread and compose your reply. Same thing then -- choose the # of images you plan to attach, then hit Submit. But on the next screen, ONLY populate the "Photo ID" fields (far right) for each image you plan -- don't fill in title, caption, etc. Check the boxes about Terms & Conditions, and Submit.

Susan, Nikki is right; with the new BP interface, I can't add a photo to a discussion thread on one of my own photos. For example, I often posted my photo, but then embedded a 2nd complementary photo within the my discussion thread. But I can't do this anymore. Chris is right, in that you can add a photo to a forum discussion thread. But I think you're wanting to add the photo to the discussion thread associated with your uploaded photo. Chris, if there's a way to add a photo to a personal photo discussion thread, please chime in. :-)

I think you're right Ken. I used to appreciate the ability to upload before and after photos but I don't think that's possible in a photo comment thread. But like Ken said you can insert photo's in the Forum comments.

Sorry; I misunderstood. My comment applies to posting in Forum activity, but not Photo Discussion threads. It does appear that feature was removed in BP2.0, as was the "Before and After" classification feature (ie, if you were quick enough to be the first person to post a message onto your own photo, you could "flag" the discussion thread as "Before and After" while you were uploading the "before" shot into that thread...)
