Nikon D700 camera Hi. Can anyone please tell me if they have purchased a Nikon D700 lately and actually received it and when was that? I have one on order at Nebraska Furniture mart and they still tell me I will get it, probably by Oct 3rd. Please help I want this camera. Thanks Tom

Don't know which model you bought, but the NFM website shows that 5 of the 7 Nikon D700s they sell are by special order (a.k.a. not in stock). If yours is one of those, it could be a long wait (I'm crossing my fingers it's not...) Keep pestering them!

Hi Monnie. Yes it was a special order. I had talked to Nikon before that and they told me to go ahead and order it, and they should be able to get me one.It was body only. I purchased a 105mm 2.8 macro and an 85mm 1.8 lens. also. All (3) Of these were special order. Hoping to see them soon. I have a D7000 now but wanted to upgrade to a full frame camera, the D7000 is wonderful but it was time to go full frame. Thanks for the response Tom.
