It is distracting, bust most likely needed for the business end of BP.

I somehow have the ability to completely ignore ads & banners on sites. I rarely even notice them and see them as a blur that doesn't contain the information I am interested in. The pop-ups that make you click the X to close are way worse but I can also click those without reading them. I am sure the ad companies dont want to hear this and maybe this is all getting stored in some memory cells for most people BUT since I have just the one brain call left - I cant even remember that I dont remember :)
Cheers,
Carlton

I can ignore them too, I've found. But when they take forever to load and it slows me down to the point of abject frustration, that is another matter.
Today, the center and side ads are not there, and my browsing has quickened by orders of magnitude. What a joy!
Bring on the ads, but find a way to make them load like lightning!

Intriguing, Peggy...I must look into that.

And I was going to ask...am I the only one who thinks the freckled lady looks a lot nicer *without* the photo editing??

I can't get my browser to block all the ads, and I do find them annoying. I used to really enjoy browsing other people's photos, but the experience is not as enjoyable now with all those ugly ads mixed in. What a shame!

I couldn't make an ad-blocker work with Firefox, so I finally downloaded Chrome and AdBlock for Chrome. Worked like a charm! yay!

Thanks for tip about Chrome AdBlock.
I just finished installing it and it works great.

  Hi there Better Photo enthusiasts,
I've tried both the FireFox & Chrome, but to no avail. Even though the ad blocker's are active I still get them!!
Any other suggestions?

I just installed this software to block tracking with my Firefox browser and wasn't expecting BP ads to be blocked also, but they were! Give it a try.
