Hi Louise, This comes down to matter of how your brain works. My friend creates folders by date but I cant remember exactly when I may have taken a specific image so I do mine by event. I just shot a festival called Wonk and created a folder WONK11 and also label the images as Wonk11_0001.CR2 - etc.. by using the Adobe Photo Downloader that is part of Adobe Bridge. It also attaches my copyright name /exif data as it downloads them as well. This folder will be kept in a master folder called 2011 and every event and image I shoot during 2011 will go in this folder. I have folders going Back to 2000. For Storage I keep 2 active 1 or 2 TB hard drives running that I work out of and also a 3rd that stays updated but turned off and on the shelf (just in case) because hard drives can & will fail. Hope this helps, Carlton 9/22/2011 8:46:16 PM |
