I'm curious Hi, hope everyone is having a nice Monday. (Is that an oxymoron?) Hope I'm not being nosy, but I'm curious about a couple of things that I see in a lot of descriptions of contest entries. What are Photogroup 101 and TKW day? Thanks Peggy

Neither one has anything to do with BP officially but yes, you will see them here a lot. PG101 is a side group of BP members that was formed years ago. Its membership shifts with time, but there's a core group of members who have been there since the beginning. It is a yahoo group and by invitation only, BUT we are happy to send an invitation to anyone interested. Just ask anyone when you see 101 in the description or in the discussion thread on an image. We have many of the same activities that different clubs here at BP do but were in existence long before Clubs were set up. TKW Day started on April 1 a couple of years ago when one BP member missed congratulating a BP friend on her birthday because she had the date wrong. She posted a belated greeting on April 1. It was a close-up of a grinning dog, taken head on. She dubbed the day TKW Day (initials of the birthday girl). People had a lot of fun commenting, so she decided to celebrate the one month anniversary of the event on May 1 and then again on June 1. Others picked it up and ever since a number of members have posted in-your-face (or other) animal shots on the first of the month to celebrate this holiday which has taken on a life of its own.
