CS4 for PC bugs
I am about to throw my PC in my pool. My CS4 keeps shutting down on me. Is there any solution to this besides drowning the PC and moving to MAC?

Yeah, I have this problem too at times. It seems to occur after doing a great deal of imaging with Photoshop AND my browser software. Not enough RAM perhaps? I really don't know. I tried uninstalling CS4 and re-installing it. That did seem to help a bit. The problem does not occur as often. Peter www.peterkburian.com

Thanks Peter. I don't have enough RAM for sure, I need to upgrade my computer very very soon and am thinking I will switch to MAC. Just stinks I have to buy CS5 now when I just bought CS4 in March! They won't give me a disk for the switch of O/S on CS4. I can try uninstalling and reinstalling the program.

Well, Pamela, I use a PC so I know nothing about the technical benefits of Mac. CS5 is just as bad, or worse, re: needing lots of RAM. But when you buy a new PC get it with 4GB of RAM. Some versions of Windows 7 will support more RAM .... check to see which versions .... then you could get a PC with 8GB of RAM. I use Windows XP Pro 64-bit and am not yet familiar with Windows 7. Yes, uninstall, reinstall. A slow process but it might help. Peter
