Lens for Children Photographer

Hello,
I'm a childrens photographer and wanted to invest in a new lens for Portrait and outside shots of children. I currently have a Canon Rebel XS, the Lens is 18-55 mm IS Lens EF-S. I'm looking for a wider Angle lens. Does anyone have any suggestions?
thanks again!
Rosie

Hi Rosie, Do you really need a wider angle lens for people pics? The 18mm end of your lens is already wide angle.

For single person portraits, you might want to use a longer telephoto zoom lens.

Anyway, for wider angle I would recommend this lens, but it is expensive.

Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM

If you want to zoom in more tightly on a person (telephoto) I would recommend this lens

Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens

Cheers! Peter www.peterkburian.com
