Editor's picks - What does it mean? I used to belong to BP along time ago, and rejoined recently. I just checked on my gallery, and find I have 2 Editor's Picks this month. Just wondering what it means - is this like Finalist used to be?

It means that your photos have passed the first round of judging: they may be considered to become Finalists, but only some Editor's Picks will later receive that silver badge. However, the photos that do not become Editor's Picks have no chance this month. You may, of course, resubmit them next month or later. Some people have managed to get these badges then although they have not changed these images (sometimes it helps to pick a different category next time).

If you get an Editor's Pick but don't get a finalist for that month it is kind of like a honorable mention I guess.

Getting an Editors pick is like being selected the first round of American Idol and going to Hollywood. There are numerous rounds between the first and last.
