I was surprised by the big difference Manually setting White Balance can make...can you set white balance with PRESET using the Speedlight 800??? I take a lot of pictures in a school with Flouresence lighting...how can I improve that using a flash...

Simon says: If I understand your question correctly, yes you can. Camera's with presets usually have a setting for flash since light from flashes tends to be slightly blue when compared to daylight.
If your presets don't give you exactly the color you want, then you can use a custom white balance by taking a frame exposed with the flash and using that as your source for a custom white balance.
Are you having problems with just the white balance of the flash, or is it a problem with some areas being balanced with the flash, and some still having the green from the flouro lights?

Your presets should have the flash emblem, the crooked arrow, that you set it too.
I think that's pretty much the standard thing for presets. The cloud emblem for overcast light, bulb emblem for incandescent, etc...
Set it for flash, and shoot.
