Nikon D80 ISO question

Anyone own a Nikon D80? Do you find a noise problem at ISO 400? The difference in my photos between a 100 and a 400 is major. When I read reviews, people don't seem to think that it's a problem, but I definitely notice it. And I obviously can't always shoot at 100. Just wondering if anyone else has the same observation. If so, what do you do about it?

I have a D80. I mostly shoot at 200 and 400 and haven't had any problems with noise in that range.

I definitely notice a big difference at the higher ISO's on my D80..I started a portrait photography business this year and shot one of my first sessions at ISO 400 and was not satisfied with the results at all...I also did a birthday party at a hall under very low light conditions and had no choice but to crank the ISO up to 800 or 1000, even though I was shooting with my 50mm f1.8 wide open. The noise level at those ISO's is really unacceptable, in my opionion, to present to clients in the future. The poor performance at high ISO is one the main reasons I have not pursued shooting a wedding, but the D80 is not considered a professional level DSLR and I guess we should not expect it to perform like one. Improved high ISO performance will certainly be one of my main concerns when I upgrade my body in the future.
