I had so much fun with this Bean...I used your image as a "guinea pig". Haven't attempted anything like this before...of course I didn't write anything down...here's what I remember.

Flipped....heehee
sharpened
fade correction
clarify
adjusted contrast and saturation
topaz effect...
I dodged a little...I burned a little
Sharpened the flower again
removed noise
cropped to 8x10

It was alot of fun!!

Okay.... Starting at week 9 and will slowly work backwards, however, I don't think I received them all.

Doing this at work with a trial of PSP 12, since my laptop is not here! Not enough tools too play with however... here it is! Fun shot to work with!

Crop,
Duplicate,
High, mid and low tone adjustment
coloured edges, overlay, merge
Clarify
Desaturate

I think that was it!

This was fun, Bean. I took it to psychedelic levels, I'm afraid. Started off cloning a second one in and then I put a Flaming Pear Swerve filter on it and decided it needed even more so I upped the saturation on most of the colors and then put a distortiion filter on it. I think I used the "Pinch" filter.

I'm showing you both the finished product and an my intermediary step.

Such an unusual rose - great color and fun to work on Bean. I went for a still life look with it. Here are my steps:

Crop - temp adjust -4 - Exposure +30 - Fill light +22 - levels adjust - hue/saturation adjusted magenta -6 +14 lightness, red -30, yellow - 50 +14 lightness - two layers with filter passes, accented edges then poster edges at 22% opacity - color balance cyan/red +60, mag/green +25, yellow/blue +30 - cloned to clean up stem.
