Seattle Summit - July 25 Several people are interested in recommendations for Seattle hotels for our upcoming Summit. I thought starting a discussion here might be a good way to kick things off. Any local BP Ambassadors have recommendations for downtown hotels close to EMP? Karen Orr

The Edgewater Inn is a nice place right on the water! They also have a car that will drive you to where you want to go for a small fee. (This was a couple years ago so call first to be sure.) It has a nice natural atmosphere. Can't wait to meet everyone! Cheers...penny

Edgewater...isn't that where the Beatles stayed and fished out the window?? I've got reservations for 2 nights (Fri/Sat) at the Travellodge by the Needle... 200 6th Av N....206 441 7878. It's a block or two from EMP.

I would like to stay within walking distance of the Sunday Workshop (my wife wants the car that day, and I don't want to ask her to get up early to give me a ride). Will the Workshop be departing from near the Needle?

I made reservations at the Edgewater, too, Penny. I haven't stayed there, but having grown up north of Seattle, it was always considered very nice. Pics on the web look like it's been redone recently...very Zen. I picked it for the views. For all of you: I'm getting in around 3:00 p.m. on Friday the 24th. I may meet a childhood friend for dinner, but keep me posted on any of your schedules and we can coordinate transportation and what not.

I made reservations at the MarQueen Hotel. I haven't stayed there but it has really high customer ratings and is running around $164/night. It is supposed to be a short distance from from the EMP. I have stayed at Edgewater several times. It is a nice hotel with a great view. It is pretty expensive as they cater to the cruise ship groups. I am also not sure of how far it is from the EMP. It has a beautiful view and is close to some great shopping and tourist attractions. My sister and I are coming in on Friday and leaving on Monday. We thought we would turn it into a long weekend.
