Why do I keep getting hotspots on my subjects face


 
 
When I shoot my images my histogram looks good my exposure meter in the view finder is in the middle at 0... and My subjects get little hot spots. I shot today and it was overcast using my 70-300 lense 2.8 what am I doing wrong.

  You can describe what you're doing a little more. Hotspots or highlights, using a flash or not.
You might just be seeing why using makeup is such a big deal for celebrities. A powder coating broadens highlights. Shine on, shine on.
