Wedding Packages: What's Included?

I shot a wedding yesterday. In addition to my 7-hour standard package, I shot photos of bride at her house: getting ready and then formal portraits. (I brought along lights/backdrop.) Today I saw some of the guests photos, including the ceremony area and then the reception hall, both prior to anyone getting there. I know its not possible for me [freelancing by myself] to be everywhere, but how do I shoot ceremony and reception sites prior to guests arriving? (Esp. reception, since the hall wasn't open in the morning and right after ceremony I was shooting formals at ceremony site.) I've seen that most brides have their bridal portrait done; is this typically done on wedding day or prior? (I figured that day since hair/makeup/etc is done.) Any insight would be appreciated.

I've shot a few weddings and both the ceremony and reception were both in the same place. The bride and bridesmaids all got ready in the building. Then after the ceremony I took them all out and shot the portraits outside. So I guess it just depends on the situation whether or not you can be everywhere all at once :)
