Photography Question

John G. Clifford Jr

Compare and Contrast Adobe Products?

It sure would be nice if someone more experienced than I would write a short article on the Adobe products (PS, Bridge, Lightroom, ACR), the purpose of each, and how they should fit together.
I have PS CS3, Bridge, and ACR. I open directories with raw files in Bridge, then use Bridge/ACR to bring the desired image into PS, then post-process and save as TIFF. I'm not really into mass importation/conversion because I want to tune my files, although I can see how others - e.g., sports photographers, photojournalists - might want to do this with hundreds of shots.
Is this pretty much a standard workflow for art photography (landscapes, scenics, etc.)?

  Hi John,
You just described the way I process as well, so I am also interested in others' responses. I don't have Lightroom or know how it would benefit my process either. I shoot Raw and select the ones I want to work on and open from bridge. I do use Corel Painter & PhotoMatix but those are alternative editing software that produce specific results.
