Yes Mary, It is a Historic day and one that brings a lot of Hope to a country that is in sad shape with financial troubles, wars & many other issues. I like that Obama is intelligent & articulate and looks to be a true "Uniter". Optimism is prevelant with my 300 facebook friends and the buzz is exciting. I will be celebrating all night tonight when I get off work. I have the next 4 days off to continue celebrating with friends over on Bremerton Island with some photo outings mixed in as well. It was a great day, just as every Inauguration Day is a great day. What other country celebrates the handing-over of the reins of power... peacefully? Many people refused to accept Bush as the president eight years ago. Well, Bush was the president, just as Obama is the president. And, as Bush was my president, so is Obama even though I didn't vote for him. Unlike those folks, who wished for Bush to fail, I want Obama to succeed because if the president fails the country is hurt, and this is my country that I care about. The only sad thing about the ceremony were the jerks who booed Bush up on the platform. How un-American!
