Nikon Raw File The raw file(.NEF),I used to take using my NikonD70S SLR camera was easily openable and editable with Photoshop CS2.But now I have upgraded my camera to Nikon D80.I find I am not able to open the Raw file obtained with this camera with my Photoshop CS2.The reply points out to'disc error'.At the same time all old Raw files taken with D70s can be opened with PS CS2.I have tried with CS3 Trial version and I am able to iopen all D80 Raw files also.Is there any way of opening D80 raw files with PS CS2 without going for the purchase of costly PS CS3.

You will need to download a updated codec for CS2. CS2 was out well before the D-80, so there was no need to have this codec. This is yet another reason many of us are switching to DNG.

Hi Perte, Thanks for your advise.I have sorted out the problem ny updatng my PS CS2.Now I am able to open both NEF and my converted DNG files using PS CS2.
